Masquerade Endogenous Candida Endophthalmitis (ECE)

This video shows Endogenous Candida Endophthalmitis presenting as chronic uveitis. Methods: Imovie v8.0.6., MPEG Streamclip 1.9. Results: A 56-year-old female developed inflammation that worsened on steroids. Retinal necrosis developed, requiring silicone oil injection. The culture showed Candida albicans. Clinical resolution was achieved after oil removal. Conclusion: Endogenous fungal endophthalmitis is a rare entity. It can be a difficult diagnosis in non-immunocompromised patients.
