Intravitreal Nail Removal

The purpose of this video is to report a case of a large intravitreal nail after penetrating trauma in the left eye. This video shows the surgical procedure performed to remove a nail from the posterior cavity. Methods: Imovie v8.0.6., MPEG Streamclip 1.9 and Keynote v5.1.1. Conclusion: Intraocular presence of nail after trauma is uncommon. Pars plana vitrectomy, removal of intraocular foreign body and intravitreal antibiotics are necessary to prevent endophthalmitis.
